I have now set-up a new packet radio node, GB7KUX.
For sometime now I have had concerns of the reliance many aspects of our hobby have on internet linking.
In fact it seems many new comers to the hobby have difficulty separating real RF radio from internet linked communications!
So I have become part of a group to resurrect our independent packet radio network.
The node in London uses the callsign GB7KUX and is a packet radio node, chat server and BBS.
It is on 144.9375 with a test port on 432.675 with RF links to Surrey and AXIP links to Lancashire and the Netherlands.
Eventually as more node come on the AXIP links will be replaced with proper RF links.
I have also set up a similar system at my 2nd QTH in Lancashire, callsign G1YJI.
This is linked to my node in London as well as a node near Blackburn.
73 de Peter, G1YJI / G0KUX.
