Sun: 8 or so sunspots. When you see an "S" on the sun, it usually means something is about to explode. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded a classic example of a "sigmoid eruption" on Dec. 6th. This comes with the obligatory warning not to look directly at the sun, ever. Always use a solar filter of some sort. (spaceweather.com)
Footy: Stoke lost to Plymouth 2 - 1 in the last minute of added time. Cruel. There wasn’t even time to kick off again. We’ve now lost 3 in a row. The manager will feel his job is in danger, I hope! Sheffield this Saturday at Stoke, we’d better win.
Other News: England are in the midst of a ODI series against the West Indies. So far we’ve lost one and won one. Not much joy really. T20 later this month.
