Ten Metre Report 13 Sept 2023

Post by G4CJC »

E51D (Cook Is) was understandably popular during the week but 9Q2WX (DR Congo) jumped up on Thursday.

The weekend was dominated by the Worked All Europe contest with JE6RPM (Japan) top on Saturday and P33W (Paphos Forest Contest station, Cyprus) top on Sunday.
This is what a map of Sunday’s contacts looked like.

And just for total clarity, no I didn’t work all these stations! A few yes, but not enough to get into these lists.

An unexpected CME hit Earth's magnetic field on Sept. 12th (1237 UT), sparking a G2-class geomagnetic storm and bright auroras around the Arctic Circle. Skies over Iceland erupted in swirls of red and green light.

Footy: England beat Scotland 1 – 3, though why they call them friendlies I do not know. Never any love lost there.

Other News: Normal footy is back this weekend. Stoke play Norwich away. I hope someone has told them it’s my birthday so they gotta win!

Middlesex CCC are still managing to make fools of themselves.1st innings against Lancashire they posted 194 all out. Lancs managed 413. Looks like an innings and something defeat.
