We will be participating in Jamboree On The Air with the 14th Southgate Scouts on Saturday & Sunday, 19th & 20th October 2024.
This year's JOTA theme is, 'Scouts for a greener world'.
To keep with their theme, we will set up the following:
Set up a small solar powered radio station comprising a 30-Watt solar panel, temporarily placed on hut roof, small Lithium Iron power station being solar charged, FT-817 radio and a laptop all powered by the power station.
This will run low power FT8 on HF or low power 2M if needed.
Remote into my shack in Lancashire in which I can run voice or FT8.
The equipment in Lancashire is solar powered.
2M VHF FM station.
D-Star station connecting to MB6SG gateway.
CW practice.
We will be operational from 10am but need volunteers to help set up the station from around 9am.
